ClassTala is an offline-first Android attendance app for teachers. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when teachers use its attendance recording, class management, and reporting features.

Information stored in the app

ClassTala may store class, learner, subject, schedule, attendance, and report-related data entered by the user. This can include class or section names, learner names, optional learner reference details, schedules, attendance dates, attendance status, and related records.

Local device storage

Core attendance data is stored locally on the user's device. EduFilesPH does not automatically collect, upload, or sync learner attendance data from the app.

Any learner data entered in ClassTala remains on the teacher's device unless the teacher manually shares, exports, backs up, screenshots, or transfers it outside the app.

No account, ads, or in-app purchases

ClassTala does not require users to create an account or sign in. The app does not contain ads and does not offer in-app purchases.

Optional feedback form

ClassTala may provide a link to an external Google Form for feedback. Opening and submitting the form is optional. Information that users choose to submit may be used by EduFilesPH to improve ClassTala.

Please avoid submitting sensitive learner information through the feedback form.

Teacher and school responsibility

Teachers and schools are responsible for following their institution's data privacy and attendance policies. Users should only enter learner information that they are authorized to process.

Removing app data

Users can remove app data by deleting records in the app where available, clearing the app's data through their device settings, or uninstalling the app.

Third-party services

When a user chooses to open an external link, such as the optional Google Form or an EduFilesPH support page, the external service may apply its own privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

EduFilesPH may update this Privacy Policy as ClassTala is improved. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
